Backup
The backup function allows
you to backup your account, and also restore your backed up accounts. To backup
your account, click Download Todays Backup. To restore your account
click Browse, and select the backup you wish to restore to. Then click Upload.
Web Protect
Web Protect allows you
to change access permissions to the folders in your account. With this utility
you can require a password and username to access folders in your account.
To lock a folder, click on the box next to the lock icon. To name the protected
resource, enter its name in the box next to Protected Resource Name, and click
Save. To add a user, and password, fill in the fields before Add New
User, and Change Password, and click Add New User. To change a Users
password, click on their username, and then fill in the empty password field.
Then click Change Password. To delete a user, click on the users name,
and then click Delete User.
Change Password
This will change your
login password for your control panel account. Please note: Change your password
often. Do not give out your root password to anyone that does not absolutely
need it. If you are to give out your route password to DarkORB, or other staff,
please verify their e-mail address before you give them the password.
Custom Error Pages
Here you can create, and
use custom error pages. This way you can use stylish error pages rather than
the plain default error pages. To add an error page, click on the error number.
Then, add the error page html in the empty field. You can add html tags by
clicking on the buttons next to Click to insert tag. You can the filename
by editing the text next to Save file as. To save your message click
Save.
Redirects
If you would like a page
to automatically redirect viewers to another page, you can set this up using
redirects. To redirect users to another page first, type in the page address
that is on your server. Next, type in the address of the page you wish to
redirect viewers to after the arrow. Then set the redirect status. A temporary
redirect can be removed, a permanent one cannot. Finally, click Add
to add the redirect.
To remove a redirect,
use the drop box to select the redirect you wish to remove and click Remove.
The redirects that are active are listed under Current Redirects.
Mime Types
Mime types are Multipurpose
Internet Mail Extensions. MIME allows you to send and read e-mails that involve
characters and information in many different file formats. To add a file format,
add the extension of the file in the blank field next to extension, and the
program that reads the file in the blank field next to Mime Type.
Apache Handlers
Apache handlers tell Apache
what to do when a certain file type is called. For example, cgi-scriptfor
.cgi or .pl will tell apache to treat the file as a CGI script. To add a handler
put the handler name in the blank field under Handler, and add the extensions
you wish to associate it with in the blank field underneath Extension(s).

FrontPage Extensions
If you wish to use pages
that have been created in FrontPage, you will need to install FrontPage extensions.
To install, or reinstall the extensions, click (Re)Install Extensions.
Please note: Installing, or Un-Installing the extensions will erase all .htaccess
files in your web area. All directories protected with WebProtect will become
unprotected.
Search Engine Submit
This tool will allow you
to submit a url to many different search engines. You will need to select
which engines you wish to send it to, and then fill in the boxes with your
information. Please note: make sure to use pertinent keywords, and a category
in which people will search for your page. This will bring more searchers
to you.
